PDP Semantic Similar Products Module

Display high-relevance “Similar Products” on the product page to improve discovery and increase cross-sell.

Functions

• Use SQL Server Semantic Search on Model, Features, and Description to find similar items
• Select top 12 matches above a similarity threshold and rank by score
• Apply storefront filters (in-stock, non-service categories, standard PDP visibility rules)
• Prefetch similarity data and render a grid slider section (“View Similar Products”) with swipe prompt
• Render only when enough results exist to provide a quality carousel
